Effective October 4, 2026
PiMetric is a calculator app. We built it so your work stays on your iPhone. We do not run accounts, we do not collect personal information, and we do not track you.
Your calculations, saved answers, Field Log entries, jobs, material lists and prices, your own saved formulas, notes, settings and any photos you attach are stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud (see below). We cannot see them.
The numbers you type into the health, fitness, pregnancy, paycheck and money tools are used only to work out the answer on your iPhone. PiMetric does not send them anywhere or use them for anything else.
If your iPhone is signed in to iCloud and "Back up & sync with iCloud" is on in PiMetric's Settings (it is unless you turn it off), PiMetric keeps a copy of that data, including attached photos, in your private iCloud database using Apple's CloudKit. Apple stores it under your Apple ID and Apple's privacy policy; we have no server and cannot access it. It lets your data come back after you reinstall PiMetric and stay the same on your other devices. You can turn it off at any time in PiMetric's Settings. To delete the copy in iCloud, open the iPhone Settings app › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage › PiMetric › Delete Data. Deleting the app removes the copy on your device but not the copy in your iCloud.
If you choose to attach a photo to a calculation, PiMetric asks for access to your camera or photo library. Photos you attach are kept on your device (and in your private iCloud if iCloud sync is on) and are only shared when you export or share them yourself.
If you use "Say It" to speak an equation, PiMetric asks for microphone and speech recognition access. Speech is turned into text on your device when your iPhone supports it; otherwise Apple's speech recognition service processes it under Apple's privacy policy. PiMetric does not record or store your audio.
The Gutters tool uses the same speech recognition for a spoken gutter takeoff and can read its answers out loud with your iPhone's built-in voice. Crew talk uses the same speech recognition, then translates between English and Spanish with Apple's Translation framework on your iPhone. The translation happens on the device; PiMetric does not send your words to any server. The first time, iOS may download the English and Spanish language files from Apple.
If you connect a laser distance meter, PiMetric asks for Bluetooth access and talks only to that meter to receive measurements. Nothing is sent anywhere else.
To show your latest answer and current job on the Home Screen widget and the Apple Watch app, PiMetric keeps a small summary in storage shared only between its own app, widget and Watch app on your devices. Siri shortcuts just open PiMetric; what you say to Siri is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
The Currency tool downloads public exchange rates from the Frankfurter service (api.frankfurter.dev). That request contains no information about you or your calculations; like any web request it reveals your device's IP address to that service.
When you export a PDF or CSV, the file is created on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes next is up to you.
PiMetric Pro is bought through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details or Apple ID. The app asks the App Store whether Pro is owned so it can unlock it on your devices. Promo (offer) codes are entered on Apple's own screen and checked by Apple.
PiMetric contains no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking.
PiMetric does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
